The Teaching profession

The teaching profession as we all may know now is women and men teaching but along time ago the teaching profession was mainly considered a career for men. When the school system started opening up to all race, gender and everyone that is when women were starting to be able to teach in classrooms. When people think of teaching some come to mind a women teaching. I hadn't really thought of the differences of women just mainly teaching but after this module it got me to think more about it. The professions that women mostly take in would be education, childcare services, nursing and etc. The teaching profession has slowly become more female over several decades, and Im not saying we only have women teach in schools because I know that I've had teachers that were male when I was in school. Now today in the future that is now we have had equal positions and spots which is good now women are put into higher positions which is so cool and good. Even in sports. I remember when I was in tennis in high school I had two coaches one was male and the other was female. Even in other sports in my school the girls team had a female coach and the team for the guys had a male coach. It is good that things are changing for the better, and there are still spots we need to improve in for the teaching profession but it has definitely gotten better throughout the years of education.
